Dr. Monica Verduzco-Gutierrez is a Professor and Distinguished Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Long School of Medicine at UT San Antonio. She is a renowned expert in rehabilitation medicine, with clinical and research expertise in Long COVID, brain injury, stroke, and spasticity management. Dr. Gutierrez is the Medical Director of Critical Illness Recovery and Neuro Rehabilitation at Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospitals and Chief of the PM&R service line at University Health. A prolific author with over 150 publications and a book, she leads initiatives that advance inclusion in medicine and serves as a co-investigator in the NIH RECOVER trial and an AHRQ grant for Long COVID care.
