Dr. Rand received her BA in Anthropology at New York University in 2006 and her DO from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. She completed an Osteopathic Traditional Rotating Internship in at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY and her Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency training at Montefiore Medical Center of Einstein School of Medicine in Bronx, NY which completed in July 2014. She has stayed on staff at Montefiore Medical Center in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and was appointed Associate Program Director for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency in January 2016, then Residency Program Director in 2022. She is an Associate Professor in the Arthur S. Abramson Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she teaches in both the pre-clinical and clinical years, lecturing students during the Musculoskeletal course, and mentoring students in the Service-Learning and IMPACT courses, as well as precepting students and residents in clinic. Clinically, her focus is on general and amputee rehabilitation, directing Montefiore’s prosthetics and orthotics services.
