Romer Orada, DO, FAAPMR, is a Faculty/Cancer Rehabilitation Physician in the Department of Cancer Patient Support Center at Miami Cancer Institute - Baptist Health South Florida and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Florida International University.
Dr. Orada received his undergraduate degree in BS Biology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where he also served as Chief Resident. He completed a Cancer Rehabilitation Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He joined Miami Cancer Institute from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he served as an assistant professor and the residency rotation director of Cancer Rehabilitation in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer on topics related to cancer rehabilitation at local, regional and national conferences.
Dr. Orada takes a holistic approach to caring for his patients. He considers their diagnosis and how the disease process affects a person’s overall well-being physically, emotionally, mentally, socially and spiritually. His goal is to optimize function, prevent further impairment and improve the quality of life for people undergoing cancer treatments, no matter where they are in the cancer journey.
