Dr. Ricardo Ayala Jiménez is a Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine physician, Medical Director, and both the Coordinator and Lead Analyst of the Motion Analysis Lab at SER de Puerto Rico. He completed medical school and earned his mechanical engineering degree in Puerto Rico, followed by a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Emory University and a fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at UPMC.
With this comprehensive educational foundation, Dr. Ayala combines engineering precision and clinical expertise to lead and personally analyze groundbreaking biomechanics projects. He is dedicated to using technology to expand access to quality care.
At the upcoming American Association of Physiatrists convention, Dr. Ayala will discuss how innovative motion analysis tools can transform patient care and broaden the reach of advanced rehabilitation to diverse populations. His session will highlight practical strategies for integrating these technologies into clinical practice, making high-quality care more accessible.
