Aila Malik, MD, MSPH is a PGY4 resident physician in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Malik received her medical degree in Pakistan, followed by a Master of Science in Public Health with a focus on outcomes research, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Malik plans to pursue a Pain Medicine fellowship to empower patients and advance the field through clinical care and research. Her areas of interest include opioid stewardship, nonpharmacologic therapies such as mindfulness, and neuromodulation.
