NYU Grossman School of Medicine
Matthew Ross is a third-year medical student graduating in May 2026 from NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Matthew grew up in the small town of Orleans in southern Indiana. He went on to attend Indiana University Bloomington, where he graduated summa cum laude with a BS in biology and minors in psychology, chemistry, and medical sciences. Since July of 2023, Matthew has attended NYU Grossman School of Medicine in their accelerated 3-year MD track. He decided to pursue a career in physiatry because he wants to help people of all ages to manage chronic disease and disability in order to improve their function and quality of life, empowering them to be more active and independent. Matthew is particularly interested in sports medicine, amputee rehab, adaptive sports, stroke rehab, and pediatrics. In his free time, Matthew enjoys training for marathons, baking, and woodworking.
