Dr. Queen Mollel is a current resident in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a strong clinical background as a general medical practitioner at Mwananyamala Hospital and a Hyperbaric Oxygen physician at Muhimbili. At Muhimbili, she is actively involved in the provision of hyperbaric oxygen therapy services integrated into Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation practice. Dr. Mollel is an active member and a pioneer in the establishment of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in Tanzania, where the service has been applied to the management of patients with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, as well as complex and chronic wounds, within a multidisciplinary rehabilitative care framework; the service remains operational to date.

Her clinical interests include physiatric and rehabilitative care, functional restoration, musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation, pain management, and the application of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in enhancing functional recovery and tissue healing. She has a strong interest in research, particularly in rehabilitation outcomes, service development in resource-limited settings, and the integration of innovative therapies into physical medicine. In addition, Dr. Mollel has a growing passion for the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with interest in its potential role in rehabilitation research, clinical decision support, and improving access to quality rehabilitative services.

Dr. Mollel is committed to patient-centered, evidence-based, and multidisciplinary care. She is enthusiastic to be part of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation community and values professional conferences as platforms for collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange. She is passionate about expanding rehabilitation services and medical specialties in the country, closing gaps in access to care, and strengthening health systems. Her professional interests align with advancing Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3) by promoting health, well-being, and equitable access to quality rehabilitation services.
