Dr Emmeline Montané is a physician in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine at Toulouse University Hospital, working within the neurorehabilitation team led by Prof. Philippe Marque, principal investigator of the BACLOTOX study. She is actively involved in the clinical management of stroke patients, with expertise in early rehabilitation, spasticity treatment, botulinum toxin injections, and gait analysis.
Dr Montané is currently a PhD candidate at the Toulouse NeuroImaging Center (ToNIC). Her doctoral work focuses on the analysis of the BACLOTOX trial, exploring how early antispastic treatments influence motor recovery and how clinical and imaging biomarkers can improve prediction of post-stroke outcomes.
She also contributes to multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs and collaborates on research projects involving neuroimaging, neurophysiology, and data-driven modelling of recovery. Dr Montané recently joined the Auckland Bioengineering Institute (University of Auckland) as a visiting researcher to expand her expertise in computational approaches to neurorehabilitation.
