Brief Session Description : Being on call can be scary—but it does not have to be!

Whether it is a spinal cord injury patient with autonomic dysreflexia or a brain injury patient with acute agitation, physiatry residents are often the first (and sometimes only) physicians available to respond. This interactive workshop led by residents, fellows, and attendings will walk you through high-stakes, real-world scenarios you are likely to encounter on call. Together, we will break down clinical reasoning, practice using validated assessment tools, and review practical strategies—all grounded in evidence-based best practices. When your pager goes off at 2 AM, you will be ready.
