Brief Session Description : Are you a new attending physician or starting a clinical practice in an academic environment? Many junior faculty are faced with new clinical work environments while simultaneously stepping into teaching roles for medical students, residents, and fellows. It may be challenging to balance patient care with appropriate teaching for various trainees. This session will review core principles of adult learning so that attendees understand how to incorporate trainee education into their clinical practice. Suggestions will be provided to develop a personalized “toolkit” for subject matters appropriate for trainees level of experience, to minimize the need for new material each rotation.
