Brief Session Description : It is often stated that a clinician's first year in practice is the hardest, however fostering continued clinical and academic growth presents longitudinal challenges for academic physiatrists. Additionally there are unique challenges that outpatient physiatrists face with regards to building and maintaining a strong practice which may be foreign to residents, fellows and even early career academic physiatrist. The goal of this session is to discuss head-winds that Academic Interventional Spine Physiatrists may face and identify longitudinal strategies for clinical and academic growth.
