Kimberly Heckert, MD is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA where she serves as Director of the Spasticity Management Fellowship Program (2018), Associate Director of the PM&R Residency Program (2025), Co-Director of the Outpatient PM&R Clinical Clerkship (2019) and Director of the Physiatry Consult Service for Graduate Post Acute Rehab. She completed her medical training at Jefferson Medical College (2003), a Transitional Year at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh (2004), Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Thomas Jefferson University (2007), and Fellowship in Stroke Rehabilitation at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (2008). Prior to joining the Thomas Jefferson University faculty in 2015, she served as Vice-Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Morristown Medical Center (2013-14), Medical Director of the Msgr. John F. Corr Stroke and Neurorehabilitation Center at the Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute (2010-15), and Associate Director of Stroke Services, Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute (2009-10). She is a lover of strong coffee, family time with her husband and daughters, and subscribes to a nearly fanatical belief that HOPE is the most powerful medicine of all.
