Prateek Grover, MBBS, PhD, MHA is a physician-scientist and rehabilitation systems leader specializing in limb loss, limb difference, and limb preservation. He is an Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, founding Director of the LimbRehabCaRES Center, and Co-Director of Health Systems Science for Graduate Medical Education at Penn State College of Medicine. Additional department leadership includes roles include PM&R Vice Chair for Quality and Safety and Associate Residency Program Director for Research. He also holds an adjunct appointment as Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering.
Extending this work nationally, Dr. Grover is Medical Director of the Amputee Coalition, Chair of the Policy and Legislation Committee at the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, and Chair of the Amputee /Limb Restoration Rehabilitation Community Group at the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He also serves on the Medical and Research Advisory Committee for So EveryBody Can Move, advancing prosthetic device parity for people with limb loss and limb difference.
With formal training in biomedical engineering, rehabilitation medicine, healthcare administration, implementation science, and artificial intelligence, Dr. Grover’s work centers on building equitable, technology-enabled rehabilitation learning health systems; improving residual limb and prosthetic care; and translating evidence into clinical practice and policy. He is a strong advocate for patient-centered, interprofessional, systems-based care and community partnerships for meaningful societal impact.
