Karen Barr is an Associate Professor at University of Pittsburgh/UPMC. She has a long term interest in medical education and mentoring. She is currently an Associate residency program director at UPMC and leads the residency medical education track and the faculty peer mentoring program. Her clinical interests include Electrodiagnostics, prehabilitation, particularly for patients qualifying for organ transplantation, fall prevention, frailty mitigation and the intersection of lifestyle medicine and value based spine care.
